Beautiful park with multiple playgrounds and two dog park areas and trails for riding horses. There is also an aquatic center and event space and a carousel….really nice park
My dogs and I love this park. It’s very big (like a baseball field) and there are tons of things for them to sniff & pee on. I like the fact that there are two sides of the park if one side is a bit crowded. I also like the fact that there are gated entry ways for easy introduction and extraction of dogs.
I’ve been to almost all of the public parks and many of the preserves in Guilford county. Northeast Park is the hidden gem of our area. The playgrounds, dog parks, trails, and sports areas are 2nd to none. There are trails for walking, horseback riding, biking and hiking. The park is nestled between Reedy Fork Creek and N. Buffalo Creek. Where those two creeks come together is a beautiful place to visit.
The Dog Park is really nice. The grass has grown in , which is different from the pictures you may have seen.
It seems that the area was a baseball field that was converted into two dog play areas, which are separated by a chain linked fence. There are canopies to provide shade and a bench for the humans to sit on. Multiple obstacle stations to teach your fur baby a trick like jumping over bars or jumping through a hoop or to seesaw, each side has a sanitary station with bags for waste disposal .
The field to the right does have an opening that a small dog could fit through. So keep an eye on your baby. Have fun
Very clean, well-stocked dog park. We were the only ones there at the time, but my dog enjoyed sniffing around, running, and getting acquainted with the equipment.
