I like this hike. A short distance from fresno is perfect for a nice getaway from the city. The trail starts easy on the first half of the walk and towards the end you get some steep sections. Its a nice feeling when you get to the top and get rewarded with awesome views. Really recommend this hike!! 🙂

my husband and I went right after it had rained, the views were stunning! the path alternates a bit between some very steep incline and then very little to no incline at all. I’d recommend hiking shoes or at least athletic shoes. no set parking lot or anything, just a small area right in front of the trail that can fit about 10 cars or so. no restrooms either so be prepared!

A physical hike with a great reward. My 5 year old daughter and I completed this trek starting from the day use area. Slow and steady wins this race.
I would put it on the hard side of Easy classification, only because you gain elevation quickly and its is physically taxing for even the most fit and experienced of hikers. Coming down isn’t easy either, but its way less taxing.
Hiking boots along with a pack filled with water would be bare essentials. A snack for the top wouldn’t be a bad idea either. Would recommend and will return.
