The difficulty is definitely moderate to intense. Going up, there are several steep inclines, with climbing over rocks when you are closer to the peak. Going down, the dry path and rubble makes it slippery, hard to keep a safe pace and can be hard on the body.

The sun exposure is intense, depending on when you go. There is basically zero shade, 99.9% sun the whole hike, so check UV index and plan accordingly.

It’s a small lot, right off the road, for maybe 5-6 cars at a time. No signage to mark the entrance. No restrooms. Unless we went to the wrong trail head, lol.

The view was beautiful, but we wouldn’t do this again. Too difficult going up for me, and too hard on his knees going down. And he started blistering halfway up as we weren’t prepared for the lack of shade (we are new to Fresno area).
