A fun place to take you back in time. Great place to visit.
Went as a chaperone for my daughter 4 th grade class to the water festival! It was a very low budget high value production about water and water conservation. Well done guys!
My wife and I came on a day that they were closed. We walked around outside to stretch our legs and let our dog out, not thinking we would get to actually see anything. After 20 minutes or so, and older gentleman, Bill Taylor, came up and started chatting with us. We mentioned we didn’t want to intrude but were interested in the site and were disappointed it was closed. He pulled out a set of keys and said, “well it could be open”We took him up on his offer and had a fantastic little tour of a couple pieces of the fort with him.We appreciate Bill and his hospitality emensely. Highly recommend coming back on a first weekend of the month to see this place when it’s open!!
This place has the power to stop time and take you back in it. Amazingly, Beautifully Enchanting.
surprising little spot that I would have never thought to go to. the staff is very knowledgeable especially since they’re all volunteers. if you have a chance to stop in there you should you’ll learn an awful lot about how you had to live on the land.
