FAQ for Pearson Park in Fort Lupton CO:
We really enjoy bringing our dogs out here. It’s a spacious fenced in area to pay ball and short trails around it. I wish the trails followed the river a little farther north, but we make do. Is there still construction going on right now? We haven’t been there in awhile because it was a massive construction site and looked like it would be that way for quite some time.
The park is great for walking my dogs but the garbages are constantly over flowing and all over the place they look like this every day this summer bow. Fort Lupton garbage service is a joke. And I’ve been harassed twice now by weirdos sitting in their cars around the park. The city should pay more attention.
Be careful if you are walking thru the trees & grasses. Posion ivy present. We have had 1 incident of a tick on our dog. Please have your dogs “Rabies vacation” if you are walking thru the trees & grasses. We came across a BAT on the grass land trail north pass the fence trail. It is beautiful, fun safe for the most part. Precautions please. Be Safe.
An awesomely surprising addition in fort lupton. This is a pretty simple dog park with 2 sides: small dog and everyone else with double gate entry for each side. The small dog side is tiny with a bench and a waste bag dispenser. The other side is huge with a bench, picnic table and a few trees as well as a bag dispenser. It is mostly wild grass with a few dirt spots where pedestrian traffic has worn down the grass. To get to the park, enter Pearson as normal, but keep driving north around the baseball fields, turn right before the playground and keep driving east along the north side of the baseball fields. There is paved parking and a port-a-potty next to the entrance to the dog park. There were a few cars parked in the grass/dirt just outside the dog park entrance, but it wasn’t signed or labeled as legal parking. This is really a no-frills, rural park so bring some toys for your pup to play with as there may or may not be any other pups to play with. There is NO WATER available so be sure you bring your own. It’s a huge place for the pups to run so a chuck it or something would work great here. There are trash cans outside the fence for poop bags and waste, but not much else inside. Still, my dog enjoyed the space and made a few friends while we visited.
Very nice and well maintained park along the river. Beautiful and shaded mature tree growth. The dog park is large and grassy with plenty of shade in the mornings. There are rarely other dogs there during the day which can be a pro or a con I guess. The only real cons are that there is no water at the dog park with very limited places to sit and traffic from the highway is noisy. For the most part a very good experience close to home and I will be back.
