If you’re searching for a dog park in Fayetteville, New York with a blend of pet-friendly trails and outdoor activities, Duguid Park is a must-visit. Nestled on Duguid Road, this park is locally loved for its wooded paths, hiking and mountain biking trails, and a popular dog park area. While the trails provide an excellent place for dog-friendly hiking and exploring nature, it’s especially known among locals as a beginner-friendly spot for mountain biking and leisurely walks.
The park offers ample parking, well-worn nature trails, a pump track for biking enthusiasts, and open spaces perfect for an afternoon with your canine companion. Dog owners note that while most visitors follow leash rules, there is no clear mention of off-leash specifics—so be prepared to keep your furry friend leashed outside designated areas. Be cautious of poison ivy along the wood and river trails and enjoy the quiet, scenic environment that makes Duguid Park one of Fayetteville’s best kept secrets.
Poison ivy everywhere you turn! Bring poison ivy wipes with you.
We really enjoyed the wooded trails and the ramps added for mountain bikers! We are new to the sport, and it was a nice spot for two teenage boys to get a feel for the sport (once you get over the initial roots at the beginning of the trail). The signage from the parking lot is really not helpful. We almost left because we didn’t see any indication at the parking lot that there really were bike trails! (There was a stray helmet left in the parking lot, which gave us hope 🤣)
A very nice quiet little bike trail area. The beginner trails are easy but challenging enough that anyone taking up mountain biking would have a good time. The intermediate trail in the back is a nice place to hone your skills of quick shifting to get uphills and breaking control so you can make it around the tight switchbacks. It’s a good place to practice if you’ve just taken up mountain biking and a great place to visit even if you’re experienced.
What a great place! Dog park, hiking and MTB trails. Best kept secret in Manlius.
Enjoyed these trails and pump track with our grandson. Well worn paths, easy to follow. Ample parking.
This is a good small park. It has mountain biking trails, including a pump track. Duguid park has easy walking, running trails, and there is also a dog park which seems quite popular. Only thing missing are restrooms.
