My girlfriend and I have been looking for a dog for awhile and we couldn’t find the right dog, we have been scammed out of a dog from a breeder so we wanted to meet in person for a dog. We came across Mt Pleasant Animal Shelters website and found a puppy named Chase, we were a little nervous about meeting Chase because we didn’t know how he was going to be with us first time meeting. But meeting Chase and how cute and super friendly he was, came right up to us when he entered into the meeting room. We knew that we had to take him home! The adoption process took an hour and was super smooth and easy, the shelter counselor Tom really made everything super easy and explained everything. Big thank you to Tom and his knowledge of Chase. As first time adopters I highly recommend this shelter. Amazing staff and easy adoption process. Chase has put a huge smile and is such a blessing to us!

I adopted my cat, Oreo, from this shelter, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help me choose the perfect cat. You can really tell they care about the animals, as the shelter was clean, the cats looked healthy, and the staff knew all about each one. Oreo has brought so much joy into my life, and I’m so grateful to the team for everything they did. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year already. It was a wonderful experience! The staff exuded love and compassion for the cats/dogs/animals at the shelter. They were patient and let us see and spend time with each cat or set of cats 🐈 😻. We felt at home. Thank you to all of the staff and special woman who took care of explaining everything and sharing with us our experience of adopting 1 kitten and 2 young adult cats.
