Detroit City Park in Detroit, Texas, is a welcoming community park located on Bronner Dr at US-82, adjacent to the 410 Water Supply facilities. While not a traditional, separate dog park, this local favorite offers wide open green spaces, pet-friendly walking trails, and beautiful oak trees that provide ample shade, making it ideal for dog owners looking for a pleasant outing.
The park features several family-friendly amenities such as swing sets, a jungle-gym, a merry-go-round, picnic tables (some covered), and BBQ grills, perfect for a casual day outdoors. Two baseball fields, basketball areas, and a creek with a picturesque bridge offer additional activity options. Visitors appreciate the clean, quiet atmosphere and easy access within the small-town setting. There are also basic restrooms with running water on-site.
Quiet, clean and great for walking.
Fantastic baseball park for such a small town and they just got new play equipment.
Very nice field and easy access😊
Love playing ball here. Field is good, people are good, and the sportsmanship of all teams is good. Very enjoyable.
Detroit City Park is on Bronner Dr at US-82, next to (just east of) the 410 Water Supply facilities. At the corner of Bronner Dr & US-82, are some big Oaks, 2 swing sets, a few picnic tables – 1 covered – some w/ BBQ grills, a jungle-gym, a merry-go-round, a grass basketball court, & what looks like a couple of non-functional tetherball poles. In October, the grounds look regularly but infrequently mowed-n-trimmed.
⚾️ 2 baseball parks behind the playground area, 1 adjacent to the playground, the other north & across the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT) from the first.
⚾️ The ball parks – fences, grounds, bleachers, concession bldg, & gates look fairly well maintained but infrequently used.
