FAQ for Racetrack campground in Deer Lodge Montana:
5 stars
Very good location,roomy, quiet,
This is beautiful area. Good ATV’ing with a very rapidly moving creek that borders on a river volume wise.
The reason I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because firewood is a pain to come by and the roads aren’t the best. Bring an axe and maybe some firewood.
And it drops to the low 40’s even on 80+°F summer days.
Beautiful area. Large campsites. Creek is full of brookies. Great ATVing. One of my favorite campgrounds.
Beautiful National Forest pay campground with free dispersed options before and after the campground. No cell reception and the road is pretty rough. Multiple trails and fire roads to ride. The further you go up, the worse the road gets, but the better the camping gets.
