Truthfully only stopped here to get a view of the Hudson/New York City. For that it was fine, not amazing. Defiently seems like there was far more to do here but we did not take advantage of that.
Steep stairs, big boulders and long walk along the river. This trail is full of obstacles and many different levels of difficulty. I really enjoyed the scenery and the challenges this trail has brought. I would not bring my dog here although some hikers did.
Spectacular scenery along the Hudson River between NY and NJ. 3-4 hours loops along the Hudson River coast and forest and cliff. It has a stream and waterfall along the trail as well. The giant step trail is for advanced hikers while everything else is easy to moderate. American bald eagles are add-on cavaliers for the place.

Really great hike, amazing view, and so many different views to see the Hudson River. Recommend going down the steps. Just be careful it can be slippery. If there was a better flow of water, the waterfall would have been a great look. Also, be careful going down the steps to get to the river. There were a few metal polls sticking out that were supporting the steps that were out. Overall, just be careful and enjoy. Also, before leaving your car, you do HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING. I saw so many cars after finishing hiking with tickets.
