FAQ for Mount San Miguel Community Park Dog Park in Chula Vista California:
We visited this dog 🐶 park a few times while in the area. My doggie enjoyed running and sniffing! There were trees and grass although not maintained like the ⚾️ baseball fields across the parking lot. The park was pretty clean. Most pick up after their 🐕 dogs. But, there is always that on or two that don’t so watch your step. One of the water fountains was not working so someone left a bowl to be filled from other fountain. We met many dogs. Most were locals. Overall, a good place.
There are good people and dogs that go here but occasionally someone brings their aggressive dog and they expect to have the fenced area to themselves or I’ve had to remind people to clean up after their animals.
Great park overall but be careful of the group of older people that seem to be there everyday in the afternoon. Their dogs are not socialized and friendly. They will try and bite your dog and the owners do not care and are not responsible. DO NOT TAKE unsocialized dogs to the dog park and put other dogs at risk. Just avoid going there in the afternoon.
Pretty clean dog park. Unfortunately the water fountain in the large dog park was broken. The grass and weeds where pretty long and had me thinking ticks!! But over all not a bad little dog park. There is also a great walking trail around the main park and a play ground for the kids, basketball and tennis too.
Nice and very clean dog park.
