Discover the scenic beauty of Old Loggers Path, a well-known pet-friendly trail near Canton, Pennsylvania. This 28-mile loop is a favorite among hikers and their four-legged companions, offering a moderately challenging route through woodlands, alongside clear streams, and past striking vistas such as Sharp Top and Rock Run. With several campsites, reliable water sources, and clear orange blazes guiding the way, it’s perfect for dog owners seeking a dog-friendly hiking adventure in the PA wilds.
Due to its remote and natural setting, Old Loggers Path provides a true wilderness experience. There is plenty of parking available at the main Masten CCC Camp Trailhead and other access points along Pleasant Stream Road. While the park is not a traditional fenced dog park, the extensive loop trail makes for a great off-leash hiking outing—just follow local leash guidelines and always clean up after your pet. Enjoy the peaceful campsites, refreshing stream crossings, and the chance to spot local wildlife alongside your furry friend.

Loved this trail, especially seeing Rock Run, which was so clear and refreshing in late August. Well blazed and good hiking. Trail maintenance could have been better with the blowdowns, but figured they were still getting caught up from Debby earlier this month. Did the entire loop CW in a weekend.
