Calhoun Falls State Park is a wonderful place to bring the family for a day of fun. The park offers many amenities, including a pavilion and numerous spots perfect for picnics. Visitors will appreciate the clean restrooms and the designated beach with a nice, marked-off swimming area. There’s also a playground sure to delight the kids. The only drawback is that the picnic tables are quite worn and rough, and could stand to be replaced. Otherwise, this is a truly lovely park!

We stayed after labor day. There were lots of empty sites right on the water. Showers were hot. Bathrooms were clean. Camp area was flat and plenty. We were on site 73

Great place to get away for a few days. Everything is conveniently located within the park, including access to Comfort Stations and fishing spots. Hiking trails are available, and there is a store by the boat launch that has fishing poles you can use with a valid Sc fishing license. Get a Huckleberry icee while you are there! Swimming and tennis courts provided an extra common area to hang out and enjoy the park. Campsite 19 and 20 provide the best views of the lake and sunrise/sunset.

Calhoun Falls State Park is a small quaint park located on the shores of Lake Russell near the town of Calhoun Falls in Abbeville County, SC. There’s also a beautiful beach with lots of picnic tables and a concession area inside the beach house. The campground offers spacious and secluded campsites along the lake. There’s walk-in camping and tent sites too.Plenty to do at the park; kayaking, boating, swimming, hiking🥾 fishing with a tennis and basketball court. Park is well maintained and bathrooms are clean.#SCStateParks⛺️#GetOutAndPlay🎣🥾⛱️🚴‍♂️🚤#HappyPlaces❤️

I went to Calhoun Falls State Park with my two dogs for a day trip. Entry fee is NULL.00. They have a nice sandy beach, play areas for children, picnic tables, basketball court, tennis courts, a marina, convenience store, boat ramp and fishing pier that I saw. We took the 2 mile trail that loops through the woods, it’s located on the other side of the road near the tennis courts. In addition to the day area, there were camp/RV sites located near the lake. I’ll definitely be back to go camping when it cools down a bit.
