Unbelievable little enclave of the enormous prospect park. While it could use restoration for the pond/wildlife the natural beauty of this area is still prominent and birds frequent the space singing their songs for anybody who chooses to stop and relax on one of the benches
Probably my favorite little nook of prospect park. Needs some TLC, but the dilapidation is almost kind of charming at this point. Worth a visit if you’re in the park. Feels secret and special. Lots of birds and chipmunks!
A lovely mini park within Prospect Park off the beaten path. The old trees are stunning, and beautifully planted around the basin. I wish there’d be better upkeep and more nurturing and caring for this beautiful spot.
Stumbled upon this corner of the park accidentally while riding my bike. There’s only one way in/out without stairs, so if you are relying on wheels of any kind be advised. This is a quiet, secluded spot with a pretty dreamy atmosphere, at least in late summer when everything is green and lush. There is what probably used to be a water feature in the center, surrounded by a paved walk with seats/benches spaced periodically around the outside. It feels a little like someplace out of a fairytale, probably because it’s named “Vale of Cashmere,” and probably also because it’s paved in brick.
