FAQ for Mount Prospect Park in Brooklyn New York:
Up a flight or two of stairs and wedged between the Botanic Garden, Prospect Park and Brooklyn Public Library Mt Prospect Park seems a bit forgotten. This makes it a great place for early morning off-leash with the dog!
Pleasant escape from the rat race into some greenery and quietude. There is a playground with modern equipment and sprinklers. The park features multiple ingresses and egresses.
Lovely park with lots of space to roam. Playground for kids, lots of benches and shady areas if you need a rest, large open spaces where people can gather or play games. Saw a nice group playing frisbee. People let their dogs off leash here but they’re all well-behaved, running around having fun together. There’s a good amount of people enjoying the space but it’s far from being too crowded or busy, there’s still plenty of quiet areas if you just want to sit and chat or enjoy a bit of outdoor serenity. There was a little bit of litter, as in any city park, but it wasn’t very much and it wasn’t all over the place. All in all a really lovely spot.
I couldn’t find the playground but this part is great for walking I got over 15k steps in just looking for the playground with my son lol❤️❤️
This hidden gem is nestled between the library and botanical garden on eastern parkway. I’ve pasted this park hundreds of times not knowing it was there. I climbed up the staircase and to my surprise; first date picnic spot (hint-hint) fellas. I am definitely going back to impress upon my dates.
Small but scenic park next to the Brooklyn Museum and Public Library. It is a bit elevated, allowing for good views of the vibrant street below. A good place to while away time and do people watching.
