The city created this nice path connecting the Belt Parkway bike path to Canarsie a park about four years ago. Walking west on the Belt, you will find a paved path descending to your left as you approach the Paerdegat Basin Bridge. When you walk down, you will turn to your right and soon be on a dirt path underneath the twin bridges. It is quite a view. There’s a small sandy, rocky area by the water, and benches to relax on s as you enjoy looking out on the water. Then it’s a pretty quick stroll down the path before you emerge into Canarsie Park.
