Great park with 5 Pavillions and vault restrooms. There is access to a few of the trails leading through the area from this park, including the trail that connects to the tunnel trail. (Obsolete railroad tunnel that was used by the Perry Lumber Company before they exhausted the forest and went bankrupt.)Lots of history in this area, and pretty remote.

This is an absolutely beautiful, stunning part of central PA only an hour from Harrisburg. Home to the oldest Hemlock trees in the eastern portion of the country. Lots of wildlife to see if you’re quiet and look. Heads up, coming in from the east, there was no cell reception for about 15 minutes prior to reaching the park. That continued during my visit as I only had service pop in at one point when I was close to the top of a mountain.
Great place to take a dog for a walk. A clean park with picnic tables and beautiful stone fixtures and stone pavilions. Lots of clean restrooms and are kept up. Paths are easily walked and can push a Wheelchair on them. More paths in the woods with marked trees to guide you but the down side is alot of downed trees in the woods. Stay on paths and you will be okay. Remnants of days hone by with old stone fixtures throughout. Lots of parking space. Animals can enjoy a cool dip or fresh drink of cold water in the streams. Kids could look for lizards and salamanders. Will revisit for sure.👍
