Bicknell Southside Park is an absolutely lovely place! The park offers a multitude of activities, including a splash pad, multiple pieces of playground equipment, several picnic shelters, a volleyball net, baseball fields, a tennis court, basketball court, Gaga pit, bathrooms, freestanding exercise equipment, and a walking track. A recent upgrade is the availability of free wifi across the park. The city does an excellent job keeping up with the park and it looks nice year-round. Highly recommended as an amazing place to take your family for all kinds of fun!!

This park would get 5 stars if the city would enforce the leash laws and make the residents of the city keep their dogs contained on their own premises, so their dogs are jot loose running around in the park and around town, scaring others and crapping in other peoples yards and all over the park, where kids want to play. You can’t even walk or even walk your dog on leash at this park because of the lack of enforcement of city laws.

There is a house right next ti the park that allows their Huskys and thier puppies to run free and they run as a pack. VERY DANGEROUS!! They have approached me and my dog as I was walking and they had thier hair up, in a very threatening manner. I threw my water bottle at one of them, it did nothing and we had to leave before we even got our walk in.

So.. Sadly. Due to poor dog ownership and poor city enforcement.. no 5 stars

We had the shelter house for a great-nephew’s 8th Birthday party. We had a ton of family there. The shelter house, restrooms, and the park itself were all clean and in really nice condition for my family.

The park is looking great, and is obviously taken good care of by the City. THANK YOU for providing people a nice clean place to gather and use.
