Literally full of discarded needles and human waste.Don’t let your children play here, and be careful walking your dogs. This place is genuinely a biological hazard.Public works and LPD need to do something about this place

Finally decided to stop in to see if it was as bad as it looked from the road. Unfortunately this is no longer a park, it’s a homeless encampment. Not saying I don’t feel for the homeless, and they do need somewhere to go, but unfortunately they have decided to take over what was once a very cute park in a prime location along the river. There were about 6 homeless people when I was there, didn’t give me any trouble but it was early in the a.m. There was trash everywhere. It is absolutely not somewhere I’d ever take a child. (I took my dog and was nervous about her stepping on a needle buried in leaves.) I also lost my wallet a few months back and there were charges on my card at the gas station next door, then another card was found in the grass nearby, so I certainly hold a personal grudge since someone hanging out there definitely picked up my dropped wallet and decided to help themselves to my money.

Nice little space but the skatepark is not great. It’s for the most part clean but just small. It’s attached to the river walk but it’s just okay.
