Dog Anxiety: Causes, Signs & What Actually Helps
Many dogs show clear signs of dog anxiety, including pacing, panting, and seeking constant reassurance. If your dog paces, whines, […]

Pal’s Park is a convenient, city-located dog park in York, Pennsylvania, providing local dog owners and their pets a much-needed green space to socialize and play. Especially valuable for those without access to transportation, this park allows for easy visitation from within the city. Visitors and their four-legged friends enjoy the open space and the chance to meet new dogs and fellow pet lovers.
The dog park is fenced for secure off-leash enjoyment, and there are a few benches where owners can rest as their companions play. The location serves not just as a play area but also as a heartfelt tribute to canine heroes, making it a meaningful stop for those on the annual Tour of Honor. While the area could benefit from more regular cleaning and maintenance—visitors are encouraged to dispose of waste responsibly—Pal’s Park remains a unique and welcoming community space for dog owners in York, PA.
I was most happy to know that there was a place in the city for people to visit with their dogs. Some people don’t have transportation and can’t reach the other dog parks. This is a great opportunity for both them and their pets
Met some wonderful dogs there and my pup was so happy and exhausted after our visit it took us twice as long to get home. Hoping to meet more dogs next time we go. I would say I wish I didn’t find chocolate wrappers, glass and bits of food in the area for dogs but it was a quick easy clean up with no dogs being harmed during my stay.
The park is nice and clean i like it the only bad about it is the traffic you have to take to get there but other than that the park was nice my doggies enjoy 😁🐶💪💯🇵🇷☀️😍👍✌️
A wonderful tribute to our canine heroes. Stop by and give Pal a well-deserved pat on the head. He’s a good boy! I always love paying tribute to our K9 heroes during the annual Tour of Honor. (TourOfHonor.com) it is definitely “A Ride to Remember” make sure you stop by and see Firedog Mike as well!
This Rail Trail and Pal’s Park really highlights York City’s social ills. The rampant homelessness due to lack of care and resources for those experiencing houselessness is on full display in both of these spaces. Does York have a moral and healthy plan to address this issue other than punitive measures like prison and fines that are meant to lead to prison. Can York be more caring and creative in its care for the poor? If not, what we get is tent cities along the rail trail on the freezing water and people sleeping on benches in the dead of winter. Are we really to enjoy a park amongst folks needing support? The dog park itself looks like an abandoned lot with a fence thrown around it. A few benches but no equipment for dogs. The interior and surrounding area is littered with trash and absolutely no one collects thier dog waste. Saddest dog park ever. This City needs to do better. Thoughtful, active, progressive, empathetic action by the leadership of this City is much needed.
