Potso Dog Park is one of the most popular and well-reviewed dog parks in Tigard, Oregon. Conveniently located off SW Hunziker Rd, this spacious, fully fenced park offers dedicated areas for both small and large dogs. Double-gated entries ensure safety for energetic pups, and the grounds are well-maintained with grassy areas that keep paws comfortable. The park is known for its community of friendly, responsible dog owners, making it a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike.
Potso Dog Park boasts excellent amenities, including plentiful seating, covered shelters for shade and rainy days, multiple water stations for dogs, and waste bag dispensers with trash bins for easy cleanup. With easy access parking right next to the park and thoughtful extras like hoses to rinse muddy paws, both you and your dog will enjoy a hassle-free visit. Whether you’re looking for a quick play session or a regular spot to socialize, Potso is a top choice for dog owners in Tigard and the greater Beaverton area.
We were visiting from the coast and needed to let our little dog run around. We went to the small dog area but unfortunately there were three out of control dogs there, owners were elderly women sitting in lawn chairs who did nothing to control their dogs. The dogs had a pack mentality and would not leave us alone, ganging up, humping,, it was weird. We were there less than two minutes and left. The women were ‘you’re leaving so soon?’’ They were pretty ignorant of basic dog park etiquette. This was the first bad experience at any of the numerous dog parks we have visited during our travels. The park is nice, but was ruined by these out of touch women.
Very happy to have found a dog park that has a designated small dog area. It’s fenced it, grassy, has abundant chairs to sit it, and metal roof for some shade, if desired! We will definitely be back 🙂
Potso is my go to dog park in the Tigard/Beaverton area! The park is maintained pretty well and theres a small dog and mixed community areas which is great since I have a small dog. Most of the dog owners are super responsible. There was one pitty owner whose dog bit another dog and he dogs owner and she got upset at the other people which was ridiculous. If you have an aggressive dog you shouldn’t take your dog to an off leash dog park! Overall though, I love potso and recommend it!
This is a great dog park. Well gated and fenced. Drinking water available for your best friend. Water hoses available to wash off your 4 legged friend or your footwear. Several covered areas with tables for shade or if it’s raining. Please be a responsible human and pick up after your dog. Bags and waste receptacles are provided. I have met many wonderful people here and my Australian Shepherd Bella just loves going there. Many other dogs for her to play with. It’s especially nice during the wet months as I can clean Bella off before she gets in my vehicle. I highly recommend this dog park as it is the best park I have ever been to. There is always plenty of parking. 4/15/23 went there today, Bella and I had so much fun. Lots of friendly dogs and their humans.
Had a fantastic visit at the Potso Dog Park today with the hubs and my Frenchton, Nick. The park is separated into two sections: one for smaller dogs and another for larger dogs. We took Nick to the smaller area, so that’s the only side I can speak for, but for his very first visit to a dog park, he had a blast!
I love that the park is setup with a double gating system to try to avoid any potential escapees. So basically, you open the first gate to exit into a small pen area, then after making sure there are no loose runaways in there with you, next you open the final gate to exit to the parking lot (which is located conveniently right next to the park). Very smart and well thought out.
All of the dog owners were extremely friendly and conscientious. I didn’t notice any dogs doing their business where the owner wasn’t following right behind them to bag it and throw it away. There are multiple water stations surrounding the enclosed play area where your pup can have a drink at his or her leisure, and plenty of water available for refills.
Nick had so much fun running around and playing with his new found buddies (both canine and human), and even met another Frenchton just like him named Roxie which was super exciting. I think there might have been a Pug Facebook Group meetup or something today, because there were pugs galore! But they were super cute to watch. And there were absolutely no aggressive dogs in the play area that we had to contend with. Plus, as an added bonus, Nick was totally beat afterward and splatted for the rest of the afternoon, so we definitely got out all that pent-up puppy energy.
Overall, 5 out of 5 experience and we will definitely be returning.
