Decent lake to fish for stocked trout early in the spring. Can’t wait to buy a boat and explore it further!
We liked kayaking there very much. It’s a smaller lake, and there were no speeding boats, which we liked a lot. Parking lot is next to a picnic area and to the beach, so it was very convenient just to drag our kayaks through the grassy area to the water. Very kids friendly.
Beautiful calm water lake. No gas motor boats allowed so this lake is perfect for kayaking or paddleboarding. The lake had plenty of fish and other wildlife as well, such as, salamanders, hawks, and we even saw a bald eagle while we were there.
The road leading up to this area is paved the whole way (though the parking lot is gravel) there is a 1.5 mile section of the road where it is basically 1 lane so just drive slow and be aware of your surroundings.
There were porta-potties in the parking lot but that was all I could see in the way of any “services” be sure to bring your own water and take care of your trash.
Overall it was an amazing experience. There’s many places along the lake that you can dock your kayaks at and enjoy lunch on the shore. We will definitely be returning.
