I have the great privilege of participating on the board of two organizations that bring creative events to the park every August.
EPAC or the East Providence Arts Counsel organizes the Annual Looff Art & Music festival on the second Saturday in August. For 2023 – August 12th.
RIFF or the Rhode Island Folk Festival had over 2000 visitors in 2022.
This regional Folk and Singer Songwriter Festival has three stages of performances.
It takes place on the last Sunday of August. For 2023 – August 27th.
The past years reconstruction project of the Park’s seawall is nearing completion and should be completed by the August events making visits to the shoreline Beach more accessible.
Throughout the summer months local performances take place on the stage on a fairly regular basis.
The renovated Looff Carousel is directly across the street.
