Although the trail section we were on (nassau lake) was very well maintained, it is very open and no shade at all on a very hot day. We cut our ride short since it was so hot. I would not recommend bring dogs on the trail due to hot pavement
Also not much to see, most of that section just was alongside of the road. Again, I was only on a small section to be fair.

Great place to park to use the trail! It is right behind a police station, so it feels very safe. The trail starts after about a quarter mile of neighborhood streets if you take a right turn leaving the parking area.
