This dog-friendly hike is an excellent option for a quick outdoor adventure in the Adirondacks, with scenic falls that are especially impressive after rainfall. Please remember to bring your own supplies and clean up after your pet to help keep the trail pleasant for everyone.
Easy hike for any skill level and age with a surprisingly beautiful waterfall at the end.
Very flat, short (5 minutes) walk from Route 28 to picturesque falls. If walking up to base of falls be careful of wet rocks…easy doing with hiking boots on but trail itself does not require them. Likely more impressive after heavy rain. Pix taken 9/23/23.
Quick walk in. Really flat. Falls were pretty nice the day I went. I found a trail off to the right a little before the falls that took me up to the top of the waterfall. Definitely worth checking out if you like waterfalls and short walks.
Great little hike only 3 tenths of a mile in and a short climb to the top be careful it’s slippery at the top. My kids 5 and 6yrs old love this hike they hiked it for the last 3 years with us. There’s an underground bomb shelter along the way.
Great! I’d definitely go again! Can park along the side of the road by the entrance. Very easy path to walk and only a slight hill in one part. The falls themselves were bigger than I expected! We went after there’s been some rainfall in the area so big waterfall action – very muddy in some parts (almost lost some shoes!). The 4 year old did well but he’s well seasoned in hiking for his age, I could see some kids struggling with the mud.
