Hey everyone has this ever happened to you… you go online and book at rec . Gov for a full hook ups and just a few days before you leave they email you that the area you are booked at has no potable water available. Then you cancel because your fresh water wouldn’t hold enough for your time stay . Then they actually changed you for the cancelation few wow…
If you don’t mind spiders, you’ll love this campsite. Spiders are everywhere! You can knock them down, go spend a few hours at the lake, and come back to find your picnic table covered in them again. Also, if you are sleeping in a tent, there is a very good possibility that the sprinklers with come on at night and spray directly into your tent! They will provide sprinkler shields after you complain about it, but the sound of the high powered sprinkler hitting the shield will most likely keep you up at night!
We went during the week only ones there. It is a nice park. Has a lot of shade trees, a sandy beach area, clean restrooms.
This place is pretty run down. I think on a weekend with more people, it wouldn’t feel slightly creepy. The bathroom had fresh toilet paper but two stalls had no doors and there was no soap. There was quite a bit of trash around. But the water seemed clean enough and there a swim area rope before you would Emmett the steam of the river. The picnic tables in the shade were nice. The play toy was small and I didn’t check it out up close. You are supposed to pay, but there are no envelopes and the “vault”is broken. It looks like the campground is nicer. And the woman I talked to at the campground booth was super friendly.
It’s so amazing! Great place for bbqing, swimming and even fishing. It had the perfect swimming area for the whole family
