Tranquility is the best to describe this trail by the river. Easy hiking while you enjoy the sound of water and beautiful rock formations. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and peaceful place for a hike. Lots of no trespassing signs. Not sure what the story is with accessing the creek. We saw some coyotes at dusk.

I usually try to locate a 2-5 mile hike when I’m traveling out of town. This one did not disappoint. As other reviews stated it is approx 1.25 mile in and out for a total of 2.5 miles. We crossed the bridge which added a little more to the mileage. The trail’s mainly dirt surface is flat with no elevation so you can hike at a brisk pace. My husband and I are both in our 60’s and made the hike in and out in approx an hour and that was with frequent stops to take photos. There is a stepping stone stream crossing at approx .15 mile in and at approx 1 mile in there is a stone staircase down and back up to the trail. It was easy to accomplish. There are some rocks and roots on the trail but minimal compared to what we are used to in the NE Georgia mountains. The river flows on one side of trail and many unique rock formations on the other. We hiked this trail August 2023 around 7 pm and the weather was just right. We highly recommend.

Short, easy hike – very flat, around 1.25 miles one way. The river is beautiful though, and it’s very peaceful and quiet. Parking is quite limited though!

This is a hidden gem!

Beautiful trail that follows right along Pequea Creek. It’s a mostly flat easy shaded trail. It will be muddy when it rains.

If you walk about 1.5 miles from the parking lot the trail ends at the beautiful Colemanville Covered Bridge. If you hustle you can walk from the small parking lot to the covered bridge and back in about an hour. There is a water fall with rapids along the path.

Hidden gem for sure.🤩💕

Sorry my random pictures don’t do this place justice.

Keep in mind: Cell reception is spotty and there are no bathrooms so plan accordingly. Keep little ones close because there are drop offs were they could really get hurt if they get off the path.
