It’s a nice city park. So glad to see that they are renovating the community building and looks like new play areas too.
Well-maintained park featuring a pool, basketball and pickleball courts, and tennis courts. It also includes a small dog park, playground, pond, shelters, and more. A new indoor facility is currently under construction.
Nugget loves this park! Lots to do! Playground, pool, tennis, pickle ball, basketball courts, a beautiful fountain, fishing pond, picnic shelters, and local festivals. The bathrooms can be pretty dirty at times. They are going to be putting up a nice big events/community center, recently fixed and cleaned the fountain, and redid the small outdoor stage.
The park has really come a long way since my daughter’s were little. Lots of play ground equipment for the kiddos to enjoy. I nice place to walk. Now that my kids are teens we enjoy playing pokemon go there. The pool is so much better also.
The Parkersburg City Park has always been my favorite go to place to take walks or even just to find a bench and sit with my dog Mandy. It’s a beautiful place all around. I’ve lived here since my early teens and I still don’t have a favorite area of the park, it’s all so wonderful to be in. To walk around, to see all the other people, and also I really love the pond, maybe that’s because my Mandy loves that the best, especially when the ducks are swimming around. There’s more people at the pond too with their fishing and sitting on benches with their own dogs. There isn’t any other local parks I enjoy more than this one.
