We really love this park 3/4 of the year! We went there many times over the summer and last spring and had a blast. The walking path is great, and so is the playground and sports fields/courts. There is also plenty of parking and a few porta potties which are better than nothing. Unfortunately in the Fall it is swarming with bees and yellow jackets. We met up there with a large group of families yesterday and had to leave early because 7 people got stung, and some were stung multiple times. I remember that there were a lot of bees when we went last fall also, so I think it is a seasonal issue. Therefore we will just go play elsewhere for the next month or two until the weather changes, and then return in the winter.

This is a nice regional park with lots of field options. The restrooms are clean. There is a nice walking trail to get some movement in while you wait between the athletic games you may be watching.

Nice, newer park. Walking path. Play ground area. Fields for sporting events.

Down side is that they sometimes hold kids sport games & events there, so it can make the park mostly unusable to everyone else. They put the biggest sport field in the same parking area as the playground & walking paths ensuring local visitors can’t get to those areas when games are on.

We have never been to a park that had a zip line! 3 playgrounds to play on, one small, one medium & one for bigger kiddos. Basketball courts, a mile paved walking trail, a giant field and pickle ball courts. Trees for extra shade, picnic benches and dog friendly. This park has it all, including a huge parking lot. What more could you want?

I took the kids to Calvert Park today, and it was a lot of fun. They have very nice basketball courts, and the kids had a blast on the jungle gym. They were in the process of adding some new things for the kids to play on. Beautiful clean park, and we’ll definitely keep visiting.
