If you’re looking for a dog park in Mountain View, CA, the City of Mountain View Dog Park offers a convenient and well-maintained location for local pet owners. Situated off N Shoreline Blvd and North Rd, this popular spot features fully fenced play areas, separate spaces for large and small dogs, plenty of parking, and water fountains on both sides. Many visitors praise the park’s cleanliness, well-kept grounds, and active, friendly community of dog owners. Whether you’re planning a quick visit or joining a weekend social like the Bay Area Beagle or Corgi meetups, you and your pup will find a welcoming environment here.
This dog park stands out for its thoughtful design—including coverage between fences for reactive dogs and dedicated space for both large and small breeds. There’s ample seating, waste stations at every entry point, and basic shade to help you and your dog stay comfortable. While Shoreline Park and the nearby Bayshore trail aren’t dog-friendly, this dog park is a safe haven for off-leash fun in Mountain View.
A nice sized, fenced dog park with a separate area for small dogs. There are dog water fountains on both sides, so no messy dog bowls lying around. Plenty of parking.
Be aware that Shoreline Park itself is NOT dog friendly, nor are dogs allowed down the path to the Bayshore trail.
Turn before you go into the golf course area. A little bit of shade. Some benches. No grass. Decent parking. Water fountain for dogs. Big dog and small dog areas
Love this park at Shoreline Dog Park in Mountain View, CA. Great place for a Bay Area Beagle Meet Up. They have Corgi meet ups every weekend too.
Great fully fenced dog park. Well maintained, didn’t see any holes in the fence, every station had bags, all water fountains worked. No toys/bowls present so bring your own!
I have a reactive dog who has trouble when seeing dogs arrive and everyone here and their dogs were so wonderful. The covering between the small/large dog fence provides a lot of help with fence frustration.
Rarely used in early morning, cars driving by are fairly slow/quiet so it’s not as bad for dogs who have trouble with cars as many other areas in the city are.
Open: 6:00am – 30min after sunset
Limit 3 dogs per person!
My dog Hans has socialization issues (haha, who doesn’t???). Anyway, I took him to that park afraid that he would fight with the dogs there but the dog owners were so nice they helped me introduce Hans to their dogs and soon he was playing and having a blast with them 🙂
