Aldergate Dog Park, located within the Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District, is a spacious and welcoming destination for local dog owners and their pets. This dog park in Menifee, California, features separate areas for large and small dogs, allowing pups of all sizes to play safely. The large dog area is especially spacious, giving energetic dogs plenty of room to run and play. The small dog section, while cozier, offers grassy spots and seating for pet owners to relax comfortably. The park is filled with wood chips and dirt, which helps reduce dust but can get muddy at times.
Visitors appreciate the friendly community vibe, easy access to tennis balls, and amenities like water stations for rinsing off muddy dogs. There are benches for owners and shaded seating at certain times of day, plus available poop bags and scoopers to keep the space clean. Such a wonderful place to take you doggies.
The park for small dogs it’s a little small, but it has grass and a bench, so you can be comfortable while taking care of your babies.
I didn’t went inside of the park for big dogs, but I could notice it was so big that it allows them to run without a problem.
Huge dog park! There is a little dog area and the big dog area. It’s a great place to let your dog play with others and run there zoomies out. They have a nice water station area to rinse off your dog if they get muddy. The park is filled with wood chips and dirt so it gets muddy when pups dump the water buckets over accidentally. They provide tennis balls and potty bags to pick up your pups business. My dog Cye loves coming here to play! The people are nice also.
Searched for dog park and wasn’t disappointed. The park was big and they laid down wood chips so much better than dirt. Dogs had fun.
Love this dog park! Super friendly people and dogs. They have a separate small dog area from big dogs which is nice. They have restrooms open for the public. The parking lot is small but lots of on street parking. Also lots of hiking trails but they can be hard to enter.
Really great place to bring a puppy once they’re old enough.
I ended up with a very timid and scared dog and have been bringing him off and on for a few months. Over the last month I’ve been much more consistent with it. There are plenty of really kind people that come! It can get cliquey with people that have been there for a while, but for the most part the people and especially the dogs are nice.
The big thing I recommend is to not bring your own toys or leave water unattended as there are a few dogs that will claim them and destroy them, and owners that will not try hard to keep there dog from doing as much.
Plenty of tennis balls around, and providef poop bags and also a scoop to clean up. There are places to sit, and if it’s the right time of day they will be in the shade. However, some people do bring their own chairs and that seems like a great idea!
I haven’t personally had issues with others, and only once was another dog too much for my dog who is also just very timid. Overall, it’s been a great experience and my dog has slowly been coming out of his shell!
