I love Latoya .. she keeps is authentic and real. She was super helpful during my move into the apartment. Great person to connect with !
LaToya was amazing! She showed us around Parc Lyndhurst and made the whole apartment search so easy and enjoyable. She was super friendly, patient, and really listened to what we were looking for. She took the time to answer all our questions and made sure we got to see the apartments that best fit our needs.
Her positive energy made the tour feel comfortable and fun, not stressful at all. We left feeling confident and excited about the community thanks to her. If you’re checking out Parc Lyndhurst, definitely ask for LaToya, she’s the best!
I plan to move when my lease is up. I was starting to see progress under the management of a lady name Allie, however, she mysteriously disappeared last year, and now I have no idea who the current management is. They are very unresponsive. Communication is nonexistent. I never see maintenance cleaning and vacuuming the floors. At these prices, the building should be cleaned every day. The mail room is unorganized (a lot of thefts). The water gets shut off every 2 weeks or so for maintenance. There are roaches here. This place has too many issues to list. The biggest issue is poor management. The rent goes up every year, and the quality of service goes down. Many of the apartments have outdated kitchen appliances. I don’t think the building is that old, no apartment should have outdated kitchen appliances. It’s not worth the money. There are many new luxury apartments with new appliances in Lyndhurst in the same price range as The Parc. I suggest you look elsewhere. I do not recommend The Parc at all. And PLEASE do not leave your generic copy & paste message about how you’re “disappointed” that I had a bad experience. DO SOMETHING TO FIX THE ISSUES!!!!
I’m actually surprised about this rental property. This was my number one choice, but they somehow managed to drop the ball because of poor communication and lack of customer service. I couldn’t imagine being a tenant.
I reached out last Friday for a tour. I originally called and booked it for Thursday at 330pm the following week based on their availability. They confirmed the date and time. Then… They called me while I was at work. I didn’t pick up, but I got a text saying my appointment was canceled. I called, and the person I spoke with didn’t know the reason why it was canceled but told me someone would reach out to me. No one did.. I got a text the same day asking if I want to reschedule for Saturday or Monday… Saturday, they were available from 10am-4pm. I chose Saturday. My tour was confirmed for 1pm. Saturday morning, I got a text saying my appointment was canceled. I inquired via text as to why both of my CONFIRMED appointments have been canceled 2 times in less than 24hrs. I received a text back saying they don’t know why, and someone will get back to me… it’s been a week… the only texts I have been getting are… Do you want to schedule a tour with us?… if you care this little about a future tenant, I can see why customer service of current tenants in the reviews is as bad as they say. I ended up looking elsewhere!
We used to love this place under the prior management. Things under the new management were rough for a while. They finally reached a point where things leveled out and management-tenant relations were okay. However there is still very, very much left to be desired here.
1. The big one for me is the thief in the package room had gone unidentified for far too long (to the point that I don’t think management was taking the issue seriously, despite numerous different tenants having their packages stolen and there is a camera in the package room and cameras elsewhere throughout the building) all while management put ZERO effort into mitigating controls.
2. Management also does not take any ownership of the package room, its contents, nor its responsibilities to the tenants regarding the security of the packages. For a very long time the room would not lock and tenants were left to fend for themselves. After moving out I contacted the office to advise that a package ordered long in advance was being delivered and could not be sent to my updated address. I advised around the time the package should have arrived. Management said they would look but their recommendation was to just “order another one”. This was a limited run – I’m not able to get my money back and I’m not able to order a new one, so management is accountable for this. I returned later to inquire and I received the same push-back “we haven’t seen it, just order a new one”. This issue coupled with issue #1 is very suspicious, I’m not able to rule out the possibility that office staff are stealing packages and the disregard for my finances makes them sound more suspect. I don’t have any facts to make an accusation but I am saying the behavior is suspicious all the same. Either way, management has not contacted me regarding the whereabouts or lack thereof of my package that was delivered almost 3 months ago and I’m still awaiting their reply. At minimum, this demonstrates disregard for tenants and their property.
3. Management had been unable to use the cameras in the building for a considerable period of time. The lapse in service, to the best of my knowledge, did not overlap with the thief in the package room. But this speaks to management’s inability to take ownership of the building premises.
4. Trash. Management has had ongoing issues with trash in the building which was never an issue under previous management. The trash chute continually filled because the bins at the bottom weren’t being changed out timely. When management first took over they also decide to reduce the number of trash pickups, a bad decision which they eventually had to reverse.
5. Parking. The bar downstairs attracts very many patrons, as does the gym. When the bar gets particularly packed bar patrons would park in tenant-only parking which, at times, meant we had to park elsewhere. The tow company would not take any action because of staffing issues. I raised this to management and advised them to get a new tow company if this one cannot fulfill their part of the agreement. No action was taken, the old tow company’s signs were still up and later calls to the tow company indicated they were still in an agreement.
In fairness, management deserves praise for some action taken which I will include.
1. Management had ended their relationship with the prior laundry vendor who did a terrible job maintaining their machines to the point people started going to the laundromat. Management ended the relationship and took on a new vendor with brand new machines.
2. Management identified needs for updates (toilets being the big one, and the dog park was updated as well) and undertook major projects to perform those updates.
3. Management was fair and reasonable in their tenant exit practices.
4. Management had issues with some office employees which they were quick to fix.
Overall giving 2/5 stars. Very unhappy with much of our experience and unhappy with my ongoing difficulties with the office over my missing package. But management has taken some positive actions which are a bit redeeming.
