Davidson Mesa Open Space Dog Off-leash Area offers a scenic and spacious place for your furry companion near Louisville, CO. With breathtaking mountain views and expansive open space, this dog park is perfect for pups who love to sprint and socialize. The off-leash area is securely gated, allowing dogs to play and exercise freely while owners enjoy the beautiful Front Range vistas.
Although there is no shade or water provided, visitors are encouraged to bring their own water and maybe an umbrella on hotter days. The park can get busy, especially during weekday mornings and daytime, and the parking lot is quite small—so plan ahead. Nearby, you’ll also find pet-friendly trails that are great for leashed activities if you want to extend your dog-friendly adventure in Louisville, Colorado.
Come here for the off leash park. But turns out the off leash area is really small. The main trial is on leash. Gets a bit disappointed.
Bring your own water! This is an amazing dog park for dogs that love to sprint, with some excellent views for the owners too.
My dog loves it at the dog park and meets a lot of new friends every time. I find the views to be spectacular and entertaining for me while Wallace frolics.
The didn’t know off leash dog areas were a thing! Perfect for our antisocial dogs that don’t do well at dog parks. Beautiful scenery and there was no one else there. Lots of smells to wear out our pups
Beautiful huge dog park. Gated. Mountain views.
No shaded areas. No water.
It is closed on muddy days/rainy days.
Sometimes poop bags are all out. So bring your own just in case.
There are some balls out on the field.
Parking lot is inconveniently very small. Fits about 10 cars or so, and is sometimes full. No other place to park for overflow.
This park gets super busy during mornings/daytime on weekdays.
There is a HUGE walking trail right alongside the gated dog park, although dogs must be leashed outside of the gate.
No shade, no water. Great park to just let your dog RUN though. We visited from Texas and enjoyed the scenery and talking with locals of both human and canine.
