Bentley has been coming here since he was just a tiny puppy, and now he’s 5! He’s a platinum member and goes every day while I’m at work and honestly, this place gives me complete peace of mind. I never have to worry about him because I know he’s surrounded by people who genuinely love and care for him.
Liz, the manager, is truly one of a kind. She treats Bentley as if he were her own. She knows his personality inside and out, from the way he greets everyone in the morning to the little things that make him happy. She always takes time to update me, share sweet moments, and make sure every detail of his day is perfect. You can tell how much heart she puts into her work. She leads with kindness, professionalism, and so much love for every single dog there. Bentley absolutely adores her and honestly, so do I!
Marcela, Marc, Robert, Diana, Nick, Oscar, and the rest of the amazing team are just as wonderful. They all know Bentley so well, it sometimes feels like they know him better than I do! They notice every little thing about him. His moods, his favorites, when he’s extra playful or just in the mood to cuddle and they always make sure he’s having the best day possible.
They’ve been part of his life since the beginning, teaching him how to swim, helping him with agility, and celebrating every birthday with so much love and joy. Each year, they make him feel so special, and I can tell he truly feels at home there.
It’s rare to find a place where everyone genuinely loves what they do, but you can see it here in every smile and every tail wag. Bentley absolutely adores going to daycare, and I’m beyond grateful for the entire team that makes it all so wonderful. This isn’t just a daycare, It’s Bentley’s second home, filled with people who treat him like family.
Here’s a little snippet of the adorable birthday party they held for him yesterday. It was perfect, just like everything they do for him. 🥹💕💕
Bear absolutely loves coming to playcare at Doggieland! He is able to come here and work off all his energy which is so nice especially when you live in an apartment. I love that we get to tune into the live cameras and see him playing or napping. Another bonus is that they always have a person monitoring and playing with them. Bring your dog here and I promise you won’t regret it!
We love Doggieland! I take my dog here for Playcare 8 times per month and she has also done the Staycare for the weekend. The staff are really kind and responsive and seem to love their jobs and the dogs! They know the dogs by name and genuinely are excited to see them. You can watch your dog play around through their livestreams and the dogs are always having a great time and getting a lot of human interaction as well as great activities. My dog loves it there – just look at her post-Doggieland face.
We recently picked up our two dogs from a 10-day stay at South Park Doggie DTLA. After 5+ years of loyalty and thousands of dollars spent here, this will be our last visit.
One of our dogs requires daily Prozac, which we always provide along with a fresh bag of pill pockets so he’ll reliably take his meds. When we returned home and resumed our routine, we opened the bag only to have hundreds of cockroaches swarm out. The infestation spread into our kitchen, and we now have to pay for ongoing extermination. We have never had any issues with pests such as roaches in our home before, and the extermination process has been costly and disruptive. This was clearly a health and cleanliness issue inside the facility.
What’s worse, it became clear our dog was potentially not receiving his prescribed medication. If staff had been giving it daily, they would have opened the bag and noticed the infestation immediately. This raises serious concerns about the level of care provided to all pets, not just ours.
To make matters even more frustrating, when we brought this to higher management, instead of taking accountability, they turned it back on us — saying that because we called the exterminator, it was “our problem.” That response was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely ignored the real issue.
Cockroach infestations pose health risks, and the disregard for administering medication shows a lack of basic responsibility. After 5+ years of trust, we are extremely disappointed. Pet owners deserve better — we strongly urge others to reconsider before boarding their dogs here.
The entire crew here has been nothing but wonderful. I have a 6.5 year old rescue with past abuse history that caused his anxiety. New places are hard for him. But upon the first visit, the staff made him feel at ease. I love the mid-day photo of my dog to get a snapshot at how he’s doing, and also that you can watch the puppycams if you want. Really brings a sense of security which I didn’t have at my other daycare.
Liz and the team really care about creating a clean, supportive environments for the dogs. So much so that I felt comfortable sending him there for boarding for a week while on a business trip.
So glad that my friend referred me here because now we are customers for life.
I’m very happy with this chain of daycares. We visit all of the locations. Jules (dog) always seems to have a really good time. I enjoy getting pictures of her. They have a camera so you can watch your dog while they are at daycare. She gets really excited when she knows she’s going to daycare. We go about 4 times a month.
Hands down the best doggy daycare you will ever find. The staff treat your dog like their own. I leave my dog there for weeks when I go on vacation because I know he’s in good hands. My initial struggle was finding a place that would take in my reactive and anxiously barking Yorkie, Lorenzo. He suffers from separation anxiety so I had to find a place to leave him hours at a time. Not only did they welcome us with open arms but they taught me how to work with his anxious behavior. He improved in months – stopped barking for attention and learned to socialize with other dogs. They keep them busy with games (soccer), agility, swimming, puzzles, and more! His regular groomer, Nina, is awesome. Marcella is so sweet and patient. Liz’s love for animals is unmatched. Oscar is Lorenzo’s best bud. Marc ensures operations run smoothly and his customer service makes you feel like a valued client. The rest of the staff is amazing too! There is so much more, go down and check them out.
I highly recommend this home away from home for your dog. They are like family and treat your dog with so much care. From the bottom of my heart, thank South Park Doggie for caring and watching Lorenzo over these last couple of years. You have shaped my experience living in downtown for the better and I’m forever grateful for you all.
Buscemi always has the BEST time whenever he comes for play and to stay – treated like royalty, just like he expects to be 🐶
Couldn’t be happier with the reception my little guy got at South Park Doggie – Playland (DTLA). He’s already excited to come back for more, and I fully trust this team with his well-being and care. My highest recommendation for others considering a place for your dogs to be treated like gods!
I’ve been using South Park Doggie for boarding and daycare for my German shepherd Angelina and I couldn’t be more satisfied with their services. Angie always has the time of her life and my favorite part is being able to check in on her on the live cams while I’m traveling. Five stars!
My puppy loves this place! She’s been going here for over a month and she is always excited to go hangout at South Park Doggie Daycare! My next step is to have her do her training here especially since she’s already use to all the people here.
The staff here seem to really love dogs! She’s my first puppy so I’m one of those can you teach me what to do first timers with everything so it’s great to be able to get advice from dog lovers!
If you are considering bringing your dog here the answer is “YES”
