Dog Anxiety: Causes, Signs & What Actually Helps
Many dogs show clear signs of dog anxiety, including pacing, panting, and seeking constant reassurance. If your dog paces, whines, […]

Located conveniently in the heart of Lake Oswego, McNary Dog Park offers a cozy, fully fenced space for your dog to run off-leash and socialize. This small neighborhood dog park is perfect for quick play sessions or letting your pup burn off energy with friendly local canines. The park is shaded during late hours, making it a comfortable spot for both pets and their owners, even on warmer days.
McNary Dog Park is known for its welcoming community of dog owners and easy accessibility, though parking is limited (about 4-5 spaces). There’s a double-gated entry for added security, some seating (including chairs set out by neighbors), and a water bowl provided—just bring your own water. While there isn’t a separate area for small or large dogs, visitors consistently find the dogs here to be friendly and well-behaved. If you’re searching for a dog-friendly spot in Lake Oswego with a secure, off-leash area, McNary Dog Park is a charming and convenient choice.
Well, it is a dog park, I suppose.
Very limited parking (4-5 cars max), park is very small (I suppose it’d be fine for small dogs, but there’s no “get up and go” room for large dogs). There is also no water source. This part really surprised me because “dog park 101” is ‘securely fenced area and water.’ Park really feels like an “HOA across the street” kind of place and not a real park. Great if you live across the street. We’ll keep looking.
Great place to take dogs for an off leash run. People are considerate and pick up their own poop. Neighbors are welcoming, chairs are out, and there is a water bowl, BYOW. Double garnet so leashing and unleashing is easy.
Decent size park for the dogs to run around and shaded perfectly during the late hours. No small dog separation but the dogs I’ve experienced so far have been really friendly.
We pop into this dog park sometimes to toss the ball & get our zooming out!
Nice small fully fenced dog park that is easy to get to. Parking is limited
If you live in the area there’s not a lot of choice for dog parks in walking distance, so it really hurts when this place closes in the winter. Covering at least a portion of it with barkchips or gravel would solve the mud issues in the wet seasons, but unfortunately it’s currently all grass and mud. The reviews saying that it’s not completely fenced are out of date, it was fully fenced in 2023.
