Located in the heart of Fernley, NV, PAW-sitive Play Dog Park offers a local space for dog owners seeking a fenced area where pups can play off-leash. This dog park in Fernley provides some shade with established trees and basic seating via one or two benches, making it a modest but convenient spot for letting your dog exercise and socialize.
The park is noted for its true off-leash experience and a secure fenced area, though owners of small and medium-sized dogs should be aware that some gaps under the gate might allow escape. There isn’t a designated parking lot, so visitors should prepare to park by a nearby dead-end or walk across a soccer field. Water is not provided, so be sure to bring your own for your pet, and watch for muddy spots after rain. The park is most ideal for local residents seeking a simple, relaxed outing with their furry companions.
We moved to Fernley 12 years ago. My family enjoyed the park. First my wife passed, breast cancer. One bye one, our five dogs started to pass too. This morning Wyatt & I visited the park for the last time.
Weeds are 3ft tall, could at least weed wack them. Small and medium dogs can get out of park by going under gate. Some kind of access to water for the dogs.
It’s a bit of a walk from the parking area to the actual fenced dog park. There are trees and benches to sit but no water fountain, so be sure to bring your own
Dry grass. Long walk from easy parking to gated area. Maybe nicer if watered or grass comes in after summer heat. One bench to sit on. When I was there, it was hot afternoon, so no other dogs.
There is no real parking. You have to go thru a neighborhood and park in a dead end or park clear across a soccer field and walk over. Fine if your not handicapped.
The park itself is small with trees and 2 park benches. There are holes everywhere. Today my dog played in a hole full of mud and water. Absolutely disgusting – it smelt horrible. My car got mud in the seats, even after I wiped her down. Not to mention a bath when we got home.
Not a bad little place overall, except for the holes and mud.
