Sometimes places are special because of what happened there and not for what remains. While nothing from the former Spanish settlement is still standing, the place is still really pretty, right on the water, and the surrounding streets have beautiful homes to see. The park has interpretive signs detailing what was once here which explain the site.

Great state park with excellent for walking and biking. It’s also dog friendly as long as they’re leashed.

Nice little park to stop by if your in the area. Beautiful scenery and information plaques. Also, being a fan, the house that Pippi Longstocking was filmed at is located across the street. I was told by a couple walking that the home is now privately own. Beautiful view!
