The park was named in honor of Sally Ormsby in 2009. It covers part of Accotink Trail with dense woods and beautiful Accotink Creek nearby. The trail is very popular for hiking, jogging, strolling and biking all the time.

Had a great walk and signed some geocaches. Very nice, smooth, wide, flat trail. Would give it five stars if there were facilities by that round parking area near the playground (or are there and I didn’t see them?), if the signs were fixed up (some are extremely beaten up or faded), and if the trash got cleaned up a bit. Sadly lots of garbage in the creek.

Dad has been working a lot. I have been a very patient good boy. But I needed to get out and have a good day of fun in the water before summer is out. So dad took me here, and I found a nice little shallow creek to wade and run around in. There was a great big pond in the park nearby, but dad kept me from jumping in. I guess he thought I would drown. He’s probably right. Thanks, dad!
