What a beautiful park. Plenty of space to play and park. Lots of mixed hardwoods and evergreens. The trail I was on had been freshly widened. A lot of roots throughout the trail. Some hills, a few pavilions to sit at. I think this is a bird watchers paradise…I identified the following species: Northern Flicker, red wing blackbird, eastern screech owl, cardinal, red breasted nuthatch, red bellied woodpecker, Canada goose, crow, nuthatch, black capped chickadee, turkey, and a red tail fox. I went out looking for some acorns, but the diversity of the flora and fauna was quite impressive and I barely got into the park. More exploration is needed!

Wonderful park that is very people and dog friendly. It offers many trials to its visitors as well as programs and even a visitor center. They are pavilions throughout the park that can be reserved. There are many playgrounds and even restrooms. It is a nice, great place to step away from the busyness of life.
