Nestled along the shores of White Rock Lake, White Rock Lake Dog Park offers Dallas pet owners a scenic, lakeside spot for their furry companions to run, play, and socialize. The park features separate areas for small and large dogs, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all breeds and sizes. With ample green space, a dedicated swim area for adventurous pups, and a unique launch pad into the lake, this dog park is a favorite among locals seeking dog-friendly outdoor activities.
The park is well-maintained with plenty of room for energetic dogs to romp, double-gated entrances for added security, and beautiful lake vistas that both owners and pets will enjoy. Although there have been mixed reviews regarding water cleanliness and shade availability, visitors frequently praise the park’s social atmosphere and opportunities for off-leash fun. Whether you’re looking for pet-friendly trails or relaxing lakeside views, White Rock Lake Dog Park remains one of the best dog parks in Dallas, TX for an active day out with your pup.
White Rock Lake is am awesome green space in the city. That being said, the water is…dirty, and the dog park is a lot…
These shots are from the only time we let our pup get in. I love the concept of the dog park, and the gating is amazing– as well as having much in terms of built in fun for dogs.
But the facility is sadly often filled with folks who do not have control of their dogs, and yet they still keep them off lease. I took a legit biting when someone’s big girl was going after a little guy…one of their humans was distracted and the other thought they were playing. The little guy was taken to an emergency vet. 😔
You are better off saving your gas and time by staying home than coming here. My boyfriend drove 30 minutes to this park, because the photos showed it to be a clean nice place for our dogs. He showed up and sent these photos to me. He left after 5 minutes; not only due to the water being disgusting, there was no shade for the dogs and him at all. We will be looking for cleaner better park in the city. We suggest you do that too yall!
It’d been a while since letting the crew, Chico and Charlie run at a dog park, and this one did not disappoint! They ran and ran and ran. When I was ready to go, Charlie wasn’t… and she won. No picks inside the dog run area this time (UPDATE: More pics added, pups🐾 lakeside 🏞 6/15/25). I guess I was more of a helicopter dog dad this time. But the walk outside… the lake… OMG. Do people still say that? Can a guy say that? Lol. Wow wow wow. These pics don’t do it justice. Thanks to whomever keeps this area pleasant for the dog dads and dog moms. Most importantly, for all the furry family members 🐾🐾
My dog loves going to this dog park! She’s a medium size dog so she can go in either the little dog or big dog area depending on who is there, so I’ve been seen both sides- they are both kept very clean from the times I’ve been! There’s a lot of gates so your dogs can be off leash freely without worry, and there’s also a launch pad into the water of White Rock which I think is awesome even if my dog is too scared to go in! I think it’s a great place for all dogs and humans to socialize while looking out at the beautiful lake 🙂
Went here with a friend and was able to have a great time. Was cloudy and windy for our stop but the park is well maintained and there is plenty of room for all. The back landing to the water allows for the dogs to cool down during the hotter months and having a small and large dog area separated was helpful for most owners based on the experience. Cheers
