No dogs there but a cool dog park.
For a dog lovers friendly people, clean area 🙂
Lovely dog park with plenty of room for running! Only access is from the lake path- recommend parking south by Lawrence if traveling by car!
Very well maintained and large dog park – all grass and woodchips (no asphalt or concrete right next to the ladle front trail. There are many benches/chairs to sit on while the dogs play, trees that make for fun games of chase and the occasional squirrel spotting. Usually not too crowded, lots of space ton run around.
There are trash cans, sometimes extra waste bags and water bowls though best to bring water to fill them with.
Great enclosed space. Seating and shade if you want it. Bring your own water, they have bowls laid out.
This dog park is less than a year old. It opened in July 2017. It is close enough to walk to from our house. It is a good size with plenty of room to run. There are benches for pet owners to sit on and trees to provide shade on hot sunny days. The grass which was here initially is no more. The wet spring conditions and regular dog traffic created a muddy mess. That has been corrected with wood chips over most of the park. My dog doesn’t seem to mind. He still runs here and loves the park. They have dog bowls but no water supply yet. I heard rumors that they are trying to resolve that. I expect this park will continue to get better over time.
