Churchill Park Ball Field stands out as a welcoming dog park in Chicago, Illinois, offering pet owners a convenient spot to exercise their dogs and connect with the community. Nestled near the popular 606 Trail, this city park is praised for its well-maintained fenced pup playlot, making it a favorite among locals for safe, off-leash fun. While primarily known for its ball fields and community events, the dog park provides a much-needed green space for neighborhood dogs to roam and socialize freely.
The park is also well lit, allowing for safe visits at any hour, and it hosts family-friendly and community gatherings that foster neighborhood connections. While the playlot could benefit from more grass and seating, most users find Churchill Park Ball Field to be a clean, enjoyable, and conveniently located destination for pet owners and their pups looking for dog-friendly amenities in the heart of Chicago.
Dog park needs grass
This a wide park, good for baseball and other kids activities, although it lacks enough trees and sits to relax but also has a fenced pup playlot.
I play kickball here. Close to a dog park, very cute. Off the 606 trail, very convenient. Close to Lotties, love it there.
Convenient neighborhood park – sports and dog centric rather than children play ground
What a nice little oasis in the middle of the city! The dog park is very nicely maintained and most are responsible owners, so it’s a safe place to bring your pup! And the family and community events held here are very nice ways to stay in touch with the community and meet new neighbors!! It is also well lit at night…so it’s a safe entrance/exit area from the 606 at any time of the day.
