It was a pretty area. I hiked the Blue Wash Trail, just a short out and back to a small falls. The falls were dry, to be expected in Aug in AZ. It was a nice area to just take in some nature.

Was just exploring and checking up campsites on my recent visit.
Picked up an annual Tonto Pass at the Forest Service OFFICE while in Payson.
The weather was mild (perfect) while I was there. Saw a lot of elk. Beautiful sunsets. Big fat snowflakes on my 3rd day up there.
Am impatient to return. Now that I have my Pass, hope to return with less scouting and errands … and just enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Tonto National Forest.
