Seems like it’d be in much better condition with it being summer time.
No one picks up after their dogs and the park is separated in two but no signs for which side is for big dogs and which side is for small dogs. People just got to where they want and makes it hard to bring a small dog. Idk why this got 4.3 star average.
Big open safe space for the doggies to play. Water fountain at the gate. Shaded picnic table. A few holes in the ground to mind if your dog runs a lot. Located very back of the main park.
Some stickers in the fenced area with obstacles but not too bad. Water fountain wasn’t working but brought water ourselves. Did feel unwelcome though considering a Canyon Police officer followed us to our parking spot, watched us get out of the vehicle and then stared at us for a bit. After he left, two different Canyon Parks trucks did the exact same thing. I’m not really sure how my family (a 34 yr old woman, 40 yr old Jewish man wearing a Kippa, three girls aged 15 14 & 9, a 5lb Maltese and a 15lb German shepherd/chihuahua mix) was seen a a threat that needed to be watched but we will not be going back. Which stinks because the park really wasn’t the bad part. The racial profiling was. And this is supposed to be one of the most conservative, Christian places in the state.
Nice little dog park that splits off into two different play yards. I was a little disappointed that the dog fountain did not work. There was a very friendly couple there that was welcoming and let our dogs play together. Don’t forget to pick up after your dog and have a great time!
