Nice monument to the Army Air Force who shuttled planes overseas during WWII. This was one of those staging areas. Nice little loop with excellent info boards. Main trail heads north along the wetlands of the Neponset River. Flat and straight good for walking or cross country running. Easy access to I-95.

This is an easy flat trail area on the site of the former Canton Airport. There are a couple of short loops, the main drag is a sort of causeway above swamp on two sides. It clocked at 1.5 miles out and back. I’m sure birdwatching here in the early mornings is pretty sweet!

This is a quiet extension of the Blue Hills Reservation (to the north) no continuous trail from there. The terminus of the main trail is at a stubby Y, one leg gated so you don’t walk up to the train line (running on the east side of the park, the other terminating at the berm which has I95 atop (running on the west side of the park).

Pleasant, basic, glad it’s here.

I’ve driven by many times. I’ve never pulled in to walk around. It was nice. I didn’t know the history of that location was previously an airport.

Plan to return with better shoes and snacks for some birdwatching!

Love coming here. Many times, it’s not even planned. Drop in to eat my lunch and go for a quick walk. Or just to wander around on the trails.

Nice little park to walk around in. I’ve always driven past this place but never really got around to actually checking it out. Decided to head in today with my girlfriend and took a nice stroll around. There is one REALLY long trail that almost hits the highway and then takes a turn to another trail. We didn’t end up continuing since we still had to walk all the way back. It would have been nice for some variety instead of just a straight long path but overall still a hidden gem. It’s a place you wouldn’t expect off the side of a busy main road. It’s not the biggest of parks but it’ll do as a visit once in a while sort of a thing.
