Came for the dog park, ended taking the short hike out to the point instead. Bathroom, benches, tables…nice place.
Clean park hidden away. Great views of the ocean. Continue down the trail for a secluded beach access and a nice hike out to the point.
Dog owners beware! The large dog park is not fully fenced in. They used bushes but a dog could easily squeeze through if it wants to. Also the small park has large gaps in the bottom of the fence.
Wow, I have never been to a dog park with a view like this. Beautiful. THIS IS NOT IN THE GATED COMMUNITY. It’s a little further down the road. Park in the parking lot for the water treatment place. Looking at the facility, you will see a paved path to the right, near the fence. I believe there’s a sign that says Chetco point. Take that path around back to get to the dog park. There is a restroom outside of the park. 2 separate areas. Grassy. We enjoyed it until it started raining.
Um…I hate to share a local’s best kept secret, but this place is fantastic! Sure a dog park is nice, but the real treat is hiking up the paved path for the views & down to the beach. Wear sneakers & clean up after yourself, but (if you’re nice & your pet’s under control) dogs have a blast here. 🏖 📸 🐕
