Not sure you can really call this a park. It’s a very small pond with walkway around only half of the pond. Second half you walk in the road. It is not maintained! Totals 1/4 mile! Nothing to see here!
Great hiking paths around a pond. Beautiful anytime of year with a small parking area just off the road. Trails are perfect for dogs
Great place for a hike. Beautiful mill pond partially silted in.
Best part is that it’s on the Groton Open Space Association cross town trail, and links up to many more miles of trails.
Great place, been going there for years. You can put together one to 1.5 mile loops from any of the entrances either from RT 215, the bottom of Judson Ave., or from the top of Judson at the end of Capstan Ave. More options if you include the property adjacent owned by the Avalonia Nature Conservancy though technically they are more restrictive about usage (dogs on leash). Always bird watching opportunities.
Also, pond freezes over in winter allowing for some pond hockey.
