Looking for a convenient dog park in Plymouth, Minnesota that stays clean no matter the weather? Egan Park’s artificial turf makes it the go-to spot for dog owners looking to avoid muddy paws, even after a heavy rain. The park features both a spacious main dog run and a separate, well-sized small dog area. Both are equipped with durable AstroTurf and a selection of agility equipment, including tunnels, jumps, and weave poles—perfect for keeping energetic pups entertained.
For dog hydration and cooling off, there’s a water spigot and kiddie pool on site. Owners will appreciate the seating areas, while the park’s open design offers easy visibility to keep an eye on pets. Although some recent reviews mention maintenance concerns and occasional neglect, Egan Park remains a popular local destination for social pups and owners looking for a reliable spot to play off-leash.
Great park nice dogs and people. Great on rainy days cause the artificial turf.
Park has great potential. But currently is weedy and overgrown, lots of thistles particularly in the small dog area. It would appear that many owners are not cleaning up after their dogs, as there were multiple piles on the side of the walkway on the way in. The park seem to have the feel of having been ignored or neglected all summer.
This is our go-to dog park after the rain. It’s never muddy!
There used to be 3 dog parks in Plymouth. However this year’s event for dogs has been canceled due to Dog Flu! Maybe dog parks should be off limits this year?
Nice little park. Love the AstroTurf, could see how it would be great in the muddy spring! The small dog area is decently sized, also astroturfed, and has a few play equipment as well. There are a few “trails” of mowed prairie but I wouldn’t really consider this a park for people who like to walk with their dogs. The trails surround the turfed area and you never get far enough away from it that you can’t see the main play area. Has a nice water spigot and kiddie pool. The play equipment consists of a sturdy hard plastic tunnel, a jump, a tiny wooden aframe with large slats, and short weave poles.
