Checkers Dog Park, located at 5411 Eastside Cir in Yorba Linda, California, is a welcoming spot for dog owners seeking a pet-friendly place to let their dogs play and socialize. Built into a hillside and surrounded by a quiet neighborhood, the park features sturdy fencing, modern benches, shaded structures, water stations for dogs and their humans, and is easily accessible for local residents. Off-street parking is available nearby, and access from the local parks and trails makes it convenient for regular visits.
This medium-sized, off-leash dog park is known for its cleanliness, ample open space, and recent upgrades including new fencing, benches, and surface toppings. It does not have separate areas for small and large dogs, so owners should supervise their pets closely. Shade is provided by multiple covered structures and growing trees. Waste stations and disposal bins help keep the park tidy, and maintenance occurs weekly. For local dog lovers in Anaheim Hills, Yorba Linda, and surrounding neighborhoods, Checkers Dog Park is a modern, community-centered place to enjoy time with their furry friends.
Love this dog park. It’s clean, spacious, has covered areas for shade and normally has other dogs for my dog to interact with. Parking is off street which is fine for me. They are closed Wednesday mornings for maintenance (see my photos). There’s a doggy station, water for myself and water for my dog. It’s a great, safe area.

Cool little dog park! Especially if you live in Anaheim Hills or Yorba. There is actually a little grass on a hillside and right in the middle. It wasn’t cheap to construct, it’s very modern and has 3 shade structures, one of them being quite large. I don’t know what the best times to arrive when there are other dogs present. There is no one hear at 3:15 pm on a Wednesday. Maybe it’s best to get here between 9am-1pm? It’s the beginning of January today, but I’m sure when it’s warmer they will be other dogs after 5pm. I’d think any other dog lover would give it great reviews, just for the fact the City was considerate enough to put the park here at all. In time it will get more popular with word of mouth and by google search. I moved here a couple years ago and it wasn’t built yet. I would have to drive 15 minutes to the one by Walmart near N. Tustin St. I can’t complain about a 5 minute drive from my house to a real dog park.

Our past president has a museum and park in town named after him, his dog just gets a park!
This medium sized dog park is well done, as it’s built into the hillside. Able to contain even the largest of dogs.
The park has obviously been upgraded, with newer fencing, benches, surface toppings, disposal containers and a portable toilet for people also.
It’s easily accessible from the local neighborhood, parks and from Eastside Cir.
The road here is very steep, so it’s always good to turn the wheels to the curb when setting the brake, before letting the dog go!
