Located in the heart of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, the Dog Park at River’s Edge offers a spacious, well-maintained space for your furry companions to run and play. The park stands out for its lush, grassy terrain and separate sections for both small and large dogs, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for pups of all sizes. Local dog owners praise the friendly atmosphere and the attentiveness of most pet parents, making it a favorite dog park in the Woonsocket area.
Additional amenities include wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, an on-site playground for children, and seasonal indoor restrooms nearby. While there are bags and trash stations available to help keep the park tidy, visitors note limited shade and seating options, so plan accordingly on sunny days. Whether you’re looking for pet-friendly trails, neighborhood dog-friendly fun, or a convenient stop near home, River’s Edge is a great choice for Woonsocket dog lovers.
My dogs love this park. Friendly dog owners who watch their dogs. We have visited many in the area, and this one is our favorite.
We cannot take our dog here anymore which is unfortunate because we live 5 minutes away. We’ve always took our dog here and didn’t have a problem. Some people don’t take proper care of there dogs and that resulted into my dog getting attacked. Initially I gave the dog a chance (this was the 2nd problem we’ve had with this dog) but that led to my dog getting a puncture in his neck! He ended up being fine but it was the sole fact that the owner didn’t properly take action the way she should have.
Separate areas for small and large dogs, both grass covered with plenty of space. Well maintained. Lots of friendly dogs and their humans.
Nice, lush park. Separate sections for large and small dogs. Thick grass covering the whole park. Bushes in the center lend some alternative terrain for the dogs.
Limited shade and seating.
Bags and trash available — and a seasonal potty in the building across the parking lot.
Plan on a hike to the socker fields. Really nice. Indoor bathrooms. Kinda hard to find the place. G.p.s. was no help.
